Journeys: from visible experience to the system behind it.

A selection of articles, methods, videos, and books to move from journey maps as representations to journeys as tools for inquiry and decision-making.

The central idea

A journey is not a picture of the ideal path.

It makes experiences, variations, exceptions, and dependencies visible over time. A good map does not end the analysis: it helps us ask why the service behaves as it does and where a change might have meaningful effects.
